Serena Garrison is in the midst of an epic dry spell. The pretty real estate agent can't seem to sell a house or find a decent date. She desperately needs to get her groove back in both departments. I really enjoyed reading this book about The Kingston Brothers, their cousin Serena & Mark the landscaper. They all worked together, the brothers owned a construction company and the built amazing town-houses, mini mansions and cottages. They kept the business in the family with Serena as the realtor, and their best friend Mark as the landscaper. Between all of them they had an amazing business, that nobody was able to touch. Serena was in charge of all the open-houses, and Mark was in charge of all the amazing landscaping idea's. in fact in this town-house development he was putting in a gazebo, surrounded by a hedge-maze with an English tea-rose garden in the center. It was truely gorgeous and was first being utilized as Jack & Lacy's wedding back-drop, but hopefully in the future other brides would also find it just as amazing, or so Serene was hoping since that was how she was going to market this little piece of paradise! Read this book because it will make you laugh, cry and cum a bit. The characters are great and each bring a special talent to the table. The author did a great job, with the descriptions, and making you feel like you were part of this close knit family. Enjoy reading this book!Product details

I just don't even know where to begin with the weirdness of this book. Starts out normal - girl likes guy, guy rejects girl when younger, smoldering awareness as adults, then enter the stalker who is a Nazi-Cultish wannabe?!? As I said, weird. I tried to get past that part and go further a second time but it kept getting weirder and weirder. Not worth your time.
Hot Property was a fun read. I like it when the females in the story are really fiesty and full of attitude, it makes the men chasing after them so much more fun to read. It just shows that sometimes men just don't know how to take women that are full of fire! LOL.
The story line was really good, there were some good twists with the stalker thing (sorry if I spoiled) and it was a love that was meant to be there, just had to travel the bumpy road to reach the final destination.
I would recommed this to my friends and it might just be one that I would read again!
This is the second book involving the Kingston brothers. This story focused on Serena the female, gutsy and beautiful cousin of the chunky brothers. Jacob the oldest of the brothers has hired his boyhood best friend Mark. Apparently, Serena 10 years ago had a crush on Mark who was 6 years older when she told him how she felt. Even though Mark cared for her he didn't think he was worthy of her affection so he rejected her advances. Now years later both had to swallow their pride and try to explore a possible relationship.
I really like this series. You really like the characters and want to continue reading about their lives. I would highly recommend this book.
I like strong women but I don't like mean girls. And the heroine in this story belongs to that category of women that I avoid in real life. So, it goes without saying that I don't like to read about them in romances because they get a HEA that they don't deserve.
So, why am I giving this book three stars? It's because of the male protagonist. Mark Goldsworthy is an excellent example of a human being who against all odds won and though life had dealt him another bad card, it had not stopped him continue fight for a better life. He's not a male Polyanna either. He just refuses to be kept down.
That is why I am very surprised with author Tamara Larson. She can flesh out a character that you can fall in love with and then on the opposite side, she writes a character that is so silly. The reason for Serena's (the heroine) bitterness is so shallow.
Another reason why I took away two stars, the antagonist received so much screen time and he just faded into the sunset. Chances are we will meet him in the next installment of this series, but quite frankly I feel cheated because the ending is asking for a wrap up on the antagonist.
This book is rated M for mature due to sex scenes and language.
In all honesty, my favorite thing about this book is its cover. Sadly, I was somewhat disappointed with it. The main plot was pretty good, I liked Mark and Serena but there seemed to be a sub plot that just didn't work out. ***slight spoiler*** It seemed like the author wanted to do a romantic suspense but then changed her mind halfway through and didn't take that part out. We have a 'villain' in Karl the creepy stalker guy. We get this total background on him and his past - which was way random with the whole Nazi thing - but then his part in the book just kinda fizzles out... Odd for sure. I liked seeing Jack and Lacey in this one, in fact I liked them better in this book than in their book. I also liked Jacob and maybe he'll get a book next and it'll be a bit more developed. My other bone to pick was Mark's pimp days. I sorta get where it was going, but the part where he's remembering Serena in the red bikini and then goes to see Cherry... didn't like that.
Not my favorite series, but I have definitely read worse! I would give this author another try if she writes a book for Jacob...
*update* I just checked the authors blog and she does have a continuing story planned for that sub plot I mentioned, which makes me like it a little more. Especially if the book is Jacob's, as he wants to be a cop and I think it could come together nicely.
